LaQuan Biography

laquanf LaQuan has been a woman of many talents with a nice impressive resume that leads on and off the court. She is very active in her basketball career and within the community. College: LaQuan played basketball for Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters where she accomplished a lot of recognition and awards. She is the 2nd player in Tech history to score of 1000 points and 500 assists. She helped Lady Techsters to reach 2 Final Four National Championships –Runner up within her 4 years and also was a part of the final four all 4 years. LaQuan currently holds several records at Louisiana Tech such as Defensive Player of the Year (3 years), Most Steals in Game, #3 in Assist, #1 in Most Assist in a Game, and Most NCAA Tournaments and the 2nd Player in Tech history to record over a 1000 pts and 500 assist. She holds record for Most Assist in NCAA Tournament LOUISIANA TECH: Final Four 1998 and 1999 Runner Up Lady Techsters Defensive Player of the Year (1996-1999) Sunbelt All Conference Team and All-Tournament Team (1998) 2nd Team All-Louisiana All-Midwest Regional Team Leadership Award (State Farm) Sunbelt Defensive Player of the Year (1997) Ranked 4th in assist Ranked 7th in most free throws made Ranked 1st in most steals in a game (10) Most assist in a game (13) NCAA record for most assist in game 11in playoffs 2nd player in history at Louisiana Tech to get over 1000 points and 500 assists Stallworth got her degree in Computer information Systems from Louisiana Tech and Masters in Business Communication at LSU.

laquanbask Professional: Stallworth went to play international basketball for Maccabi Ashdod in Ashdod, Israel, Dynamo Kursk in Kursk, Russia, USA Junior Olympic Team, China, Germany (Halle), and Ireland for Burnell. Stallworth was on the practice squad 2 times for WNBA Houston Comets (99 and 01). Stallworth retired from basketball in 2006. She received awards such as MVP of District (4 years) and All-State 1st Team (4 years). Stallworth’s high school jersey was retired in 1995. Stallworth received the proclamation from the Mayor of Silsbee and placed on the Wall of Fame at Silsbee High School in 2016 LaQuan is also a distinguished member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., that was founded in 1913.


Stallworth wrote, produced, and directed her own indie film “Caught Between the Two” which discusses relationship issues and it was released in 2016 on LaQuan edited and put together a book called “Finding My Lost Soul”. LaQuan has also managed several athletes and music artists to establish their careers. Stallworth will be working on her 2nd film “Sins of a Scorned Wife” for 2017 to be released late 2017 or early 2018 and releasing her new clothing line called “NUBI”. LaQuan community involvement has been a success of her own camps and clinics with the partnership from the Boys & Girls Club of Hardin and YMCA. She has also been involved in Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels for Senior Citizens. Her biggest accomplishment is speaking, teaching and motivating youth by giving countless hours through speaking and involvement. LaQuan Stallworth is an philanthropist, she helps out nonprofits including the Boys & Girls club of Hardin, YMCA, Big Sister, Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, and Helping Hands. She focuses on speaking to the youth on education, sports, and making a positive difference in the community. LaQuan has held such activities as sports career day, gospel concerts, basketball clinics, and other events. She has done luncheons, giveaways, family fitness, and many more.
